Testimonials

"The atmosphere at the camp was superb — peaceful, and the facilities in our accommodation were much better than we expected for the price we paid. Loved the free use of kayaks and adored Jamie the donkey, who didn't just bray — he sang!"
Brian Clark, New Plymouth

"We unknowingly went camping in the middle of a cyclone!  After our first night our tent was completely destroyed.  Our lovely host, Jackie, organised a caravan for us to use free of charge and even helped us move all our stuff and dismantle our tent.  We couldn't believe it!"
Sarah Wardle, Pakuranga

"Great beaches, tidy camping ground, clean cabins and kitchen and a very friendly and warm host."
Maike Dimmel, Germany

"Jackie makes it feel like home.  It is a quiet, relaxing, enjoyable family campground, kept beautiful and tidy, with the bonus of a pool!   This is one of Northland's best kept secrets, with lots of fun walks and places to explore."
Shane and Tania Higginson, Beachlands

"A fantastic place for relaxation and fun for kids and adults.  A very well run camp, good clean facilities and very helpful with any problems.  Absolutely recommend this camp as one of the best."
T and M Walsh, Pakuranga

"Quiet and sheltered with beautiful trees and surroundings.  Spotlessly clean. Great facilities and very friendly and helpful hostess.  She was a mine of information on the area and we thoroughly enjoyed the walks and beaches she suggested."
E and W Peterson, Howick

"Jackie greeted us with a smile and went out of her way to accommodate us as we muddled our dates and arrived early.  She regularly asked if we were happy or needed anything.  Jackie has fostered a wonderful community feel where the campers happily help each other out.  It's such a warm environment."
Jane Tunnicliffe, Kaukapakapa

"Magnificent setting on estuary.  Jackie was a great host.  Facilities are clean and orderly.  Very quiet, very safe, several empty beaches, good bird watching."
Judy Logel and Robert Scott, USA

"Atmosphere among campers very friendly — great family camp — us oldies can have a quiet holiday at the same time.  Staff friendly, helpful, hardworking.  Facilities kept very clean and tidy.  Great to see recycling being taken seriously."
Brian Miller, Waitakere City
